Accounts and sign-in

How sign-in works on Suede Social — Apple and email code, handles, sessions from the iOS app, and how to delete your account.

Sign-in methods

Suede Social does not use passwords. You sign in one of two ways:

  • Sign in with Apple — the same identity across the iOS app and the web. Requires a device signed into an Apple ID.
  • Email code — enter your address, get a one-time code, type it in. No password created, nothing to leak.

If you use the Suede Social iOS app, opening the web surface from the app hands your session across — you should not need to sign in twice on the same device.

Handles

Your handle is the address of your public profile. It appears in your profile URL, on your posts, and on your Rig Card. Handles are unique across the site, so earlier members get first pick. Keep it short; it renders in a lot of narrow places.

One account, every surface

The same account works on social.suedeai.ai, suede.social, and the iOS app. Your rig, posts, follows, and settings are the same everywhere — the hosts are different doors into one room.

Deleting your account

  1. 01In the app or on the webGo to Settings and choose Delete Account.
  2. 02What gets removedYour profile, Rig Card, fingerprint, posts, replies, and associated personal data are permanently removed. Retention after deletion is limited to legal and audit minimums — see the Privacy Policy.
  3. 03If you can’t get inEmail info@suedeai.org from the address tied to your account and the deletion will be processed manually.
